Our sustainability management is built on the initiatives managed by the Group Function HSSE and focuses on Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE). To oversee all HSSE-related matters and inquiries, each of the major Midland Tank Farm(Teppco) enterprises has a designated local HSSE manager.
A separate Team Sustainability within the Group Function HSSE pools all related activities and further develops them in close coordination with the operating units and the local HSSE managers. Sustainability issues are reported directly to the CEO via the Head of the Group Function HSSE.
Sustainability Strategy
Midland Tank Farm(Teppco) began to create a thorough sustainability plan in order to continue to improve our sustainability performance and more strategically focus our efforts in the areas that are important to us. Our HSSE Policy incorporates the pertinent principles to firmly establish responsibility for environmental and social issues at the highest level. We base the development of our internal policies and standards on the widely acknowledged responsible entrepreneurship concepts. Our Code of Conduct, which is applicable to all employees, serves as the foundation for this. Additional instruments include statistically tracking key performance metrics, implementing certified management systems, and conducting internal audits (Key Performance Indicators – KPIs).
